It’s not the cheeriest postcard going, but perhaps back when it was sent — when you could address a letter simply “Mr. Graham Montgomery, Bells Corners, Ont.” — we were a much drearier town.
I like the shortage of punctuation in the note, as well as the use of what I believe is the word “youse.”
As far as I can decipher, it says:
Ottawa Feb 15th
Peter rec your card glad to hear youse were well. Peter has been sick all week but is better. he works often on Sunday but would like to see youse all why don’t your Mother and Father come to see us some time they are in we would like very much to have your photo and (???). Peter will write but he asked me to send you a card.
